The Jewel Tea Company began in Chicago, later moving to Barrington, Illinois in 1930 and sold household products through salesmen traveling the country from 1901 to 1981. The company supplied housewives with everything from baking powder and other grocery items to cleaning supplies, linens, cookware and china. Autumn Leaf, made by the Hall China Company, has become one of the most popular of the china patterns. The pattern became exclusive to the Jewel Tea Company in 1933. 2) Hall China Company, Autumn Leaf pattern Jewel Tea 2 tier Candy Dish has a silver metal rod and handle which is not correct for this piece but serves the intended purpose. Mint plates with 98% gold, mint metal, base plate has four small felt protectors added which can easily be removed. Jewel Tea, Autumn Leaf Bean Pot with lid. This item was made from 1960 to 1976 by the Hall China Company and then was reissued in 1978. This particular piece is one of the reissues which is designated by three gold stripes, visible in the third thumbnail, rather than one on each handle as was the case with the earlier pieces. This bean pot is mint with the exception of some staining on the rim, visible in the first thumbnail, which is not detectable with the lid on. It has 100% gold. BUY NOW . $295.00.
Jewel Tea added this modern-style Cookie Jar to the Autumn Leaf line in 1957, it was designed by Eva Zeisel. The handles, also called ears, were supposed to be "easy grip". This Cookie jar was discontinued in 1969. This piece has a mint lid with mint gold gold and the gold is also mint around the neck of the jar. 3a) ~ Autumn Leaf, Zippo mini flashlight. This was probably made for the NALCC, National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club as a gift. The light is replaceable, it appears that the Zip Light is missing a battery . It is made in the USA and has a toll free number for operation and information. Kind of a rarity here, SOLD
